I have been a birth doula since 1986. I provide support to moms, dads, family members, anyone who is going to be involved in the birth.

I had 3 sons, with long labors but my memories are good ones because I prepared myself for labor each time and surrounded myself with good support. I want every woman to have a good feeling about her birth and view it as a cherished memory.

I am a mother of 3 grown sons and work parttime. Part of my training came from my own births, but I also participated for l8 months in the Kaiser Doula Research Project. I have been certified through ACBE for many years and I am now a DONA certified doula also. I spend about 2-3 evenings a month talking to childbirth classes to help further the information about doulas to the pregnant community. I am that committed to the belief that doulas can make a great difference on the birth.

I always take a birth ball on my births, along with massage oil, rice sock, and lots of ideas for comfort measures, having attended over 250 births as a doula. I am also currently providing a birth ball to all the families I work with so they will be comfortable using the ball during the labor. Please call anytime for more details.
