As a Licensed Midwife, I offer prenatal and birthing services that nurture
the whole family, honor the birth process and protect baby-led bonding
and breastfeeding.
My philosophy of birth is that your self-awareness and instincts are
your best guide, and I can offer support, suggestions and interventive
care as needed. I believe it's important for a birth attendant to offer
skilled care. However, I believe it's equally important
for a birth attendant to honor the majesty and mystery of birth as a
peak human experience.
The focus of my midwifery prenatal care is in helping you to take care
of yourself and making sure that your pregnancy progresses normally.
I practice evidence-based midwifery according to strict informed consent guidelines.
My services include the use of a birth tub for laboring or waterbirth,
and I can provide referrals to trained assistants available as on-site
backup for families planning an "unassisted childbirth".
