California Midwives

I have been a birth doula since 1986. I provide support to moms, dads, family members, anyone who is going to be involved in the birth.

I had 3 sons, with long labors but my memories are good ones because I prepared myself for labor each time and surrounded myself with good support. I want every woman to have a good feeling about her birth and view it as a cherished memory.

I am a mother of 3 grown sons. My doula work is my full time profession!
Part of my training came from my own births, but I also participated for l8 months in the Kaiser Doula Research Project. I have been certified through ACBE for many years and I am now a DONA certified doula also.

I spend my own time to  talk to childbirth classes and professional seminars  to help further the information about doulas to the expectant community. I am that committed to the belief that doulas can make a great difference on the birth and hope others will learn about our work.

I have attended over 600 births as an assistant.  Currently I have worked with birth balls with families for over a decade and provide instructions on how to use them in pregnancy, during the birth, and postpartum.  That has been fun!
