I have been providing Traditional Midwifery care and home birth for more than 19 years in the southern California area. My services include prenatal check ups, labwork, ultrasounds, nutritional counseling, home birth, water birth, post partum care, VBAC, newborn exams, lactation education.
I have two assistants, one is a CPM and trained Emergency Medical Responder and the other an experienced doula, herbalist who speaks Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Being a Midwife is my "calling." I enjoy working with mothers, babies and families. I had my two children at home and I believe that homebirth is the safest and best way to bring children into the world.
Though I come to your home when you are in labor and I do at least one home visit prior to birth, I can also arrange for home visits for prenatal care. Most PPO insurance will reimburse for midwifery care.
My office is located in Temecula, CA where I see clients from the Inland Empire and north San Diego County areas. I offer home visits for those people outside those regions, such as Orange, LA and San Bernardino Counties. Here are some of the cities I serve:

In reply to the request for more info on my background, let me say that I began my apprenticeship in 1986. I trained with several traditional or lay midwives, worked at a birthing center and became a primary midwife in 1991.
I also worked as an editor and writer for several childbirth and parenting magazines.
I became a Licensed Midwife in 1997 after completing the SMS Challenge Process for California midwifery licensure.
